Scenic route with multiple variants for hard trail enthusiasts. The route starts from Montalto and descends toward the ancient village of Patrignone, following well-marked trails that cross SP 23. From here, you reach the Church of Madonna delle Grazie via the so-called “giro del colle” (hill loop). From the church, turn right to enter the Fosso delle Pratole and climb up the opposite slope in the Sant’Emidio area. From this point, you can choose to extend the route toward Contrada Valle Bianca or descend into the Tesino valley, continuing through Contrada Sant’Emidio, with the option to take several marked detours for adventurous descents through vineyards and broom-covered hills.
Once in the valley, continue back toward Montalto along a short paved road, then climb the scenic Contrada Monti to reach the Sistine ridge at the intersection with SP 23, which leads back to the starting point within a few hundred meters.
