Long the Valdaso, among orchards and vineyards, the Mill of Sixtus V, one of the rare Marche examples of a fortified mill, stands out monumentally. Its presence and activity è è attested since 1320, as evidenced by the oldest Catasto Storico Comunale di Montalto (Catastrum Vetustior).
