Bonfini Palace
Address Piazza Bonfini, 2, 63068 Patrignone AP
Description

It is the most striking and important building in Patrignone, situated along the eponymous square. Dating from the 15th–16th centuries and located in the lower part of the village, it was the noble palace of the Bonfini family. The elegant façade is distinguished by three tiers of Renaissance windows framed in travertine, with the second and third floors adorned with lunette windows featuring floral motifs. The building also bears traces of more recent history, including the inscription “Evviva Pio IX,” celebrating the generosity of the Marchigian pope. Next to the palace stands a 13th-century gate with a Gothic inscription from 1262 referring to King Manfred.
