Library and reading room
Description
Inside the Civic Tower, the Municipal Library houses works of literary, poetic, historical, geographical, apologetic, religious, legal, economic, hagiographic, and theological nature, as well as a well-stocked periodicals collection from the past century and a parchment archive (Fondo Pergamenaceo) that includes the Catastrum Vetustior of 1320, autograph letters, papal bulls and briefs, and manuscripts by local scholars. Research and study of the texts are further supported by a functional study and reading room, which is open to everyone daily from 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with access granted via a magnetic card available at the municipal offices.
